Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML) brought you by Greater Westfield Chamber, Greater Chicopee Chamber, East of the River Chamber, and Springfield Regional Chamber
Last summer, Governor Charlie Baker signed legislation instituting a mandatory paid family and medical leave (PFML) program for employees, to be administered by a new Department of Family and Medical Leave. The new Department has published proposed regulations for the administration and enforcement of the new law, and local businesses must begin making contributions to the PFML trust on July 1, 2019.
In this informative Lunch N' Learn presentation, Attorney Erica E. Flores & Attorney Amelia Holstrom will provide a detailed overview of what the new law means for Mass employers.
Who is covered
How much time employees must be allowed
For what reasons
How PFML will be funded
How the claim process will work
How it will interact with other leave-related laws & benefit programs
How the law protects employees who take PFML
Attorneys Flores and Holstrom set aside time at the end of the program to answer all of your tough questions.
