In honor of April as Autism Awareness Month, Sunshine Village and Chicopee Public Library will present a fun, interactive discussion on how sugar affects the brain: "Salt or Sugar? Real or Fake? Learn How Your Choices Affect Your Brain". This hands on presentation will give you the tools to make better choices for you and your family. Come learn from a local expert! Dietitian, Diane Shenberger, MS, RDN, LDN, will discuss the link between sugar intake and behavior and help you think about food in news ways. This is a FREE event for the community. Light refreshments will be provided. Info. about our speaker: Diane Shenberger, MS, RDN, LDN – Diane is a Registered Dietitian in practice with Nancy Dell and Associates. She is passionate about coaching her clients with evidence based nutrition recommendations. Diane has over twenty years experience working in clinical research, fitness, and rehabilitation. She also has extensive experience with K-12 students in medical nutrition therapy, health and wellness. Her communication style makes it easy for clients to identify positive changes they can make to improve their health and as an ACE certified Health Coach, she also motivates clients to achieve fitness goals. Diane received her BA from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster PA, her MS in Nutrition Science from Penn State University and further training in metabolic disease, pediatrics, eating disorders, and sports performance.
